New Thought Roots

The roots of New Thought is different than the history of New Thought. The roots of New Thought run deep into Ancient Wisdom. New Thought has roots in Vedic Thought, Buddhist Thought, Abrahamic Thought, Taoist Thought, Ruist Thought, Indigenous Thought and more. While the Navajo Blessing way can be categorized as a unique and powerful form of New Thought, it is part of the roots of New Thought as opposed to being part of the History of New Thought. While we might point to passages in Abrahamic texts when illuminating Universal Spiritual Principles, Abrahamism (in all its forms) is part of the roots of New Thought. There are New Thought Forms which lean heavily on Abrahamism, yet they cannot accurately be thought of as truly being Abrahamism.
