Sharing candy doubles the sweetness

Not only does chocolate taste good (to most people), chocolate is good for you!

Dark chocolate is chocked full of antioxidants and other wonderful nutrients.

Darker Chocolates are more beneficial

Chocolate contains stimulants such as caffeine and theobromine.

Dark Chocolate may even improve blood flow to the brain and lower blood pressure!

Flavanols (Dark Chocolate has a lot of them) can stimulate the endothelium which are the lining of arteries to produce Nitric Oxide (NO).  This supports the endocrine system to help the arteries relax.  This reduces blood pressure by lowering resistance to blood flow.

Dark Chocolate Helps improve cholesterol

In controlled trials, dark chocolate was found to decrease LDL while increasing HDL <<<   HDL is the good stuff!

Dark chocolate also reduces insulin resistance which is a common factor in diabetes.

A morning without coffee is like sleep.

Dark Chocolate may improve brain function!

Eating chocolate high-flavanol cocao for a week improves blood flow to the brain.

Thus if grandma or grandpa are suffering from cognitive impairment, buy them bars of high quality dark chocolate.

Eating chocolate is said to have the following benefits:

  • lower cholesterol levels
  • preventing cognitive decline
  • reducing the risk of cardiovascular problems

It is important to note that whenever you change your diet you should consult with your health professional.
